I read an interesting blog from kernel, it talks mostly about how teenagers waste there money. He says the undisciplined teens waste there money and I think discipline has nothing to do with spending money because there is another thing called greed and it doesn't apply to discipline. It says that we teens mostly waste money on shoes, clothes, electronics, and places like the movies but it is true and some wast it on drugs too but no one can telln. It's pretty interesting that some are peer pressured to spend money but other than that teens should really be smart in money.

Laith's Blog

I read this blog from laith othman about the Golden state warriors and it says something about how they sucked for 13 years and how this year they made the post season and the playoffs. They beat the best team and the their new coach and players made it happen. They went to face the Utah jazz and it was on 5/7/07 at 7:30 but as it turned out, they lost and arre out of the playoffs.

For global communications we had to tag websites in our del.icio.us accounts, I tagged a website about the younglords and some page about latin america history. The younglords one seems interesting I never knew about but I found out from a friend that is into latin history, education and stuff like that but I guess the latin american history seems to educate more and talks alot of historial events and things like that, it has a variety of interesting things and boring things. The younglords website will pretty much just show people that there was also a political organization that was a latino group but it seems kind of interesting and it will kind of help people learn alittle if they want to know about it and I liked it and it also showed me that there was groups that latinos just like the black panthers. The latin american history website will help people learn more about latin history and if they want to learn about the latin culture and stuff. Only person tagged the younglords web site but the other one was already by five other people and these two pages only came up in my mind and it helps me learn more about my raza but other than that, the information they give seems cool and at the bottom

Familia#2

My family is basically my mom, step dad, brother, unborn sister, and me. they pretty much the only people i see everyday and we all live together and do stuff. Most of us are mexican but my step dad has a variety of races in his blood but he still family. We all connect and care for each other but I guess that is the only real family to me but to me it doesn't matter if it's little but we all love each and care.

My idea of a family can be is a group of people (any age) that care and having a loving feeling towards each other. In my family circle, it consists of my step dad, brother, and mother. We just a pretty small family but it seems pretty big to me and we all pretty much mexican except my step dad but he is white skinned but he has different background races. The only people that I really connected with was with my brother, we pretty much been through everything. Me and my brother don't really like to go out with my parents but we have too. We all have different ages and well so far my mom is the oldest then my step dad, me, and my brother. I think the qoute "Families evolve from a patchwork of possibilities", means that families come in different ways and not all of them consists of the same blood, same attitude, different sexs, or same races but there alot of varietys of families and well the only thing that matters is the people close to you and that care and love you.

Earth Day

I didn't really know what earth day was but I heard it is a hippie holiday. I think it is about saving the enviromnent for one day or its also something about reducing global warming. I learned there is conventions of that and also global warming and they talk about climate change, endagered species, and also the main cause pollution. well i think it's pretty good that people care about earth, well atleast they try for one day to help the mother earth.

Copyright

Today in Global Communications we had to learn about copyright. It is some sort of law that protects the work of author's, artist's, composer's, and other people and it is important for people selling their work. There is alot of things that connect to copyright such as Fair Use and Creative Commons. This info is pretty good and kind of confusing but it it can teach you alot of things.

Fuzzy Logic

FUZZY LOGIC, It aint no game, food, or a toy well it there might be names for those things and others but the fuzzy logic i am refering to is a binary system that mimics the way the human brain thinks and solves problems or some lik that. Lotfi Zadeh was a fuzzy logic pioneer wich he did something whoch Japan embraced the concept of fuzzy logic and invented some smart machines to show the fuzzy meaning. well I dont got much info but it is something to get curios of.

Internet Statistics

I checked this web site (INTERNET STATISTICS) mainly talking about how many people use the internet and the most people are e-mailers. This page tells the statistics of internet use and well I thought it was pretty interesting and I myself am an e-mailer. It also tells alot about other stuff well some people might get bored but it is also good to learn other stuff

My Familia

My family is big but the ones I consider family is my mom, step dad, and my brotha. My mom is a strong women and she doesn't give easily and she also can be a pain in the neck but I also think to myself that I can also be a pain in the neck for her but other than that she a pretty tight mom. My step dad is cool but the thing about him is that he is too soft and well when he gets mad, he knows how to control himself but yeah i consider that foo real family. My brotha is a real pain most of the times but me and that foo do stupid stuff and mostly get introuble and we laugh alot, well he laughs more but I sometimes go with him. Other than that he a cool ass brotha and I consider him real family like my motha cause they both been in my life the longest than any other person. We mostly go out in weekends to simple places but some places I think are pretty dumb and boring but I get used to it. My brotha is pretty disrespectful to my mom and sted dad but thas the way he is and he wouldn't really to be bad to anyone including me.

My Project Presentation

My presentation gangs and drugs was pretty easy I thought I missed some stuff but na everything came out good but I still wanted to interview more people but some people I wanted to interview some people who had alot of experience in gangs and drugs but I couldnt communicate with them or they just refused but other than that the people I interviewed were alright. The people I interviewd were my step dad, brother, friend, and counciler. I liked my presentation and well i liked that PDA one the most but I didnt really like the video game one but other than that they were all pretty good.

Presentation Reflection

I learned from one project presentation from Fuad and Andrew about immigration came out to be interesting. Some students that he interviewed came out to target mexican people as immigrants and one was just came in mind about mexicans and the other seemed to say that immigrants shouldn't be hear and he also started making racist jokes about making the border higher and so and so on. Most of the students laughed at these stupid jokes and in further in the interview the person being interviewed said, "Not to be racist but they should really make the fence higher". This project showed me that many students are ignorant and think it is funny to make fun of inocent people crossing a border to have a better life. Other than that that event opened my eyes to do something about it and this issue on mexican jokes is no different than the oher racist jokes people tell.

My Project Survey

The survey for my project was pretty easy but I am turning it late. Although I do not have a partner, it seems alright to work on something by myself. My project is turning good so far I just need to interview some people and I will be alright. The only difficulty I have is on the recorder and that device doesn't seem to recharge but I'll try to recharge it. On the bottom it shows my survey.

My Project

So far I only found a page about gangs and drugs together but need to find more information. I don't have any difficulties or pitfalls at the time but I am alittle far behind but I'm trying to catch up. I only got information about gangs and drugs but I also need the opinion on what people think of it and on what influence they had in their time being.

Investigative Journalism Research

On my research on gangs and drugs it says in a website that gangs and drugs are two simple words that are almost that have the same meaning with street gangs and prison gangs. Many reports and documents state that some gangs make millions off of the drug business each year and most often drugs are being sold to kids from kids. In some gangs it is strictly forbidden to use drugs by the members and it could lead a member to punishment for the violation but at the same time the gang can sell it to adults and kids. Title Selection

I don't have a partner for my project so I thought in doing my project about gangs and drugs since I also have to work on it in my health class with another of my fellow students. My point is to tell how illegal drugs and gangs is bad and how it can lead to jail or death and also to show the seriousness of affailating yourself with that world. I'm planning to show a little something about what is the opinion and thoughts on drugs and gangs as a social awareness.
